Japanese scientists have created a robot that washes, dries, folds, and sorts clothes.
The Laundroid was demonstrated at the Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies in Japan, according to The Telegraph.
Dirty laundry is automatically washed by the robot, after which it is folded and placed on the correct shelf in the closet. This means the user no longer has to do anything during the washing process.
Currently, the device can wash and sort multiple types of clothing, including shirts, skirts, and both short and long pants.
The robot is made by Panasonic, in collaboration with Seven Dreamers and Daiwa. It is still an experimental device. No sales date or price has been announced.
The robot does not iron yet. For now, you can still rely on Ironing Service Haaglanden.
